Values
Grow Well is seeking an Analyst to contribute to the company’s growing portfolio of food supply chain sustainability projects. Over the last 5 years, Grow Well has served organizations across the food system to improve their climate, biodiversity, water, social, and other impacts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working independently, collecting, and entering data, performing analytical and research tasks, collaborating, and communicating with others; and possess strong technical expertise, producing high quality datasets, dashboards, written reports, and PowerPoint presentations. This position has a focus on corporate GHG accounting and reporting for entities with both fossil and biogenic emissions and requires familiarity with the evolving landscape of voluntary and regulatory reporting frameworks and tools.
Responsibilities
1. Collects, enters, reviews, and analyzes key data including climate, water, waste, biodiversity, financial, operational, and governance-related information
2. Builds dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to support client visualization and management against select datasets or indicators
3. Writes reports and other technical materials for client-facing use
4. Develops and delivers engaging, informative, and visually appealing presentations
5. Manages project timelines, client communication and deliverables
6. Supports development of business proposals
Qualifications
1. Undergraduate degree in a technical field. Graduate degree a plus.
2. At least 2 years of professional experience, either in-house or consulting, on food- and/or ag-related sustainability data and reporting.
3. High competence in Excel, database building and management, and experience with data analysis and visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau.
4. Familiarity with key guiding documents governing GHG accounting and target setting such as the GHG Protocol, including guidance on land sector accounting; SBTN target setting guidance for climate and nature, including FLAG target setting.
5. Direct experience developing GHG inventories, reporting for CDP climate, water and/or forests; and climate action plans desired.
6. Knowledge of emerging relevant corporate sustainability regulations including the EU CSRD, SEC Climate Rule, CA SB-253 and 261, and EU Climate law.
7. Experience with various third-party certifications relevant to the food industry spanning animal welfare, social, and environmental desired.
8. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
This is a salaried, full-time position. Compensation and exact job responsibilities vary based on education and experience within the range of $70,000-$78,000. Grow Well offers 10 paid holidays, additional PTO accrued by quarter up to 12 days per year, a retirement contribution, and a health insurance contribution.
Location
Grow Well is based in New Jersey and candidates residing in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic region are welcomed to apply. The Analyst must be able to deliver effective results working from a home office in a virtual team environment. Periodic travel, estimated at 2 days per month, for company meetings or to client work sites is anticipated.
