The Revenue and Marketing Unit is responsible for CARE Canada’s externally facing initiatives and is fundamental to our goal of inspiring Canadians to join us in this journey with a brave and bold voice, innovative partnerships and sustainable, balanced revenue sources. The Manager, Philanthropy, reporting to the Senior Manager, Philanthropy, will be responsible for the planning and execution of CARE Canada’s corporate and individual major gift activities.  ‍

About You

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in major gifts/fund development.  
• Proven experience closing gifts over $25,000. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly for donor communications.  
• Excellent project management skills.  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, experience working with Raiser’s Edge NXT or other related fundraising databases.  
• Proven experience working cross-functionally, with team members at all levels, and ability to project manage and implement complex projects.  
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and comfort managing through ambiguity. 
• Ability to build, manage and maintain respectful and engaged relationships with diverse stakeholder groups. 
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex and sensitive material and use it to develop proposals and reports, and to present appropriate, well-informed messages to current and prospective donors. 
• The successful candidate will possess strong experience in relationship building, demonstrate professionalism, service-orientation, excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.   ‍
