We deliver accessible training programs designed to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds and are committed to dismantling barriers to education, employment, and community development.
Key Responsibilities
● Course Delivery: Provide high-quality instruction aligned with course objectives, program standards, and the instructional agreement. Adapt teaching strategies to diverse student needs and incorporate adult learning principles.
● Learning Outcomes: Clearly communicate teaching objectives and measurable learning outcomes. Implement a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
● Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts, educational institutions, and nonprofit professionals to maintain the relevance and rigor of the course curriculum.
● Engagement: Actively participate in orientations, meetings, program graduations, and required training sessions. Engage with students to encourage participation and foster critical thinking.
● Administration: Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grading, and assessments, within the designated learning management system. Ensure timely submission of all documentation as outlined in the instructional agreement.
● Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse perspectives and experiences. Integrate DEI principles into course content and teaching methodologies.
● Professional Standards: Uphold a high level of professional conduct and ensure a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
● Other Duties: As assigned by the Supervisor, additional duties will be required to meet the needs of the training program.
Qualifications
● Nonprofit Leadership: Minimum of 5 years in leadership positions within the nonprofit sector, demonstrating expertise in organizational operations, strategic planning, and workforce development.
● Teaching Experience: At least 2 years of teaching or facilitation experience, preferably with adult learners in a classroom or virtual environment.
● Instructional Tools: Proficiency with learning management systems and the ability to integrate technology effectively into the learning experience.
● Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to simplify complex concepts for a diverse audience.
● Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and engage with community partners to enrich learning opportunities.
● Remote Instruction: Experience teaching in hybrid or virtual settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with HyFlex delivery models is a plus.
● Commitment to DEI: Demonstrated ability to support and engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
Schedule and Delivery
The training program schedule will be tailored to meet participant needs. Courses are approximately 45 hours and may be delivered through in-person, hybrid, or fully online formats. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required.
Compensation
This part-time position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $60 to $100/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
