Job Summary

This position sits on the Workforce and Education Team, which focuses on delivering a variety of strategic research, design thinking, technical assistance, capacity building, governance management, and facilitation services. Our clients and partners span city and state agencies, philanthropies, K-16 educational institutions, workforce agencies, community-based organizations, and more. The Program Manager will assume a portfolio of 2-3 projects and clients under the direct supervision of a Program Director. The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and executing key initiatives that advance our clients' vision and goals. This position requires a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and proactive leader who can oversee multiple projects, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards. The Program Manager will collaborate with the Program Director, team members, and clients to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

· Oversee and manage project lifecycles: Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals in collaboration with Program Director.

· Ensure timely delivery, scope, and budget adherence: Develop project plans, allocate resources effectively, manage timelines, and track progress to ensure successful project outcomes.

· Lead and facilitate project meetings: Guide discussions, foster collaboration, and drive consensus on project goals and action items.

Writing & Research

· Lead applied research activities: With support, design and execute research projects, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation, to inform decision-making.

· Develop research reports and presentations: Synthesize research findings into compelling reports, presentations, and other deliverables for clients and stakeholders.

Client Coordination

· Manage client relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction.

· Develop and deliver client presentations: Present project findings, recommendations, and updates to clients in a clear and impactful manner.

Team Leadership

· Guide and mentor team members: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, contributing to an environment that fosters professional growth and development.

· Facilitate team collaboration: Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.

Administration & Logistics

· Oversee budget management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial accountability.

· Coordinate logistics for meetings and events: Manage the logistics of internal and external meetings, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and materials preparation.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role involving research and writing, project management, and client communication. Proven experience in coordinating meetings and events, including logistical arrangements.

Skills:

· Leadership: Ability to inspire, guide, and motivate team members.

· Program Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.·

· Analytical Skills: Ability to gather, interpret, and use complex data to develop actionable recommendations.

· Facilitation Skills: Ability to engage and interact with diverse groups, driving productive discussions.

· Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client correspondence and internal communication.

· Proficiency in Relevant Software: Expertise in project management tools, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred (or Bonus) Skills/Abilities

· Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field: Advanced degree in public policy, social work, education, economics, community development or a related field.

· Experience with program evaluation and/or impact measurement: Familiarity with program evaluation methodologies and practices.

· Knowledge of workforce, education, and/or other social impact issues: Understanding of key issues and trends in workforce development and education.

· Experience with data visualization: Ability to create visually appealing and informative data visualizations.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $85,000. The salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience.
