Job Summary
Operation HOPE is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our team as Youth Financial Literacy Program Instructors for a seasonal, part-time role. Instructors will facilitate our copyrighted youth curriculum across schools and youth-serving organizations as part of the Atlanta Uplift Youth Financial Literacy Program. This position is ideal for those with experience working with youth and a passion for financial literacy education.
Responsibilities
Primary duties will include but are not limited to:
• Facilitate Operation HOPE’s copyrighted youth curriculum across schools and youth serving organizations, ensuring engaging and effective delivery to students.
• Lead interactive financial literacy lessons and activities focused on building essential money management skills, entrepreneurship, and financial empowerment for youth.
• Manage a classroom environment, maintaining a 1:20 staff-to-student ratio, providing support and ensuring students understand key concepts.
• Adapt lesson plans as needed to fit the age, grade, and understanding of each student group, fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment.
• Collaborate with school staff and youth organization personnel to ensure successful program delivery in line with schedule requirements.
• Track student attendance and engagement, providing feedback to the Director of Youth & Program Administration as needed.
• Serves as volunteer management scheduler.
Travel Requirements
• Position requires travel to fulfill responsibilities.
• Must have personal transportation to travel to designated partner sites.
Skills/Qualifications
• Experience facilitating youth programs or classroom instruction, preferably with elementary, middle, or high school students.
• Background or strong interest in financial literacy education, youth empowerment, or entrepreneurship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire youth.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students across various age groups.
• Must pass the Operation HOPE and School District Background Check.
• Completion of Mandated Reporter: Critical Links in Protecting Children in Georgia certificate prior to the start of employment.
• Deep commitment to and belief in Operation HOPE’s mission.
Additional Requirements
• Ability to commit to a 7-week program schedule.
• Flexibility to work 15 hours per week across multiple locations in Atlanta as part of a rotating schedule.
Salary Range
$15.00 To $17.00 Hourly
