The Role

We are seeking a proactive and engaging Climate Action Stakeholder Engagement Officer to join our team. This role will support the Stakeholder Engagement Lead in informing, motivating, equipping, and supporting stakeholders within and beyond the Square Mile to get involved with the CAS and take local climate action. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote local climate action and the delivery of the Climate Action Strategy. 
  • Creating engaging content and collateral to promote the CAS to relevant audiences, including for the climate action website, newsletters, and social media. 
  • Developing and maintaining key stakeholder engagement resources, ensuring materials are current, accurate, and aligned with the latest CAS initiatives and messaging. 
  • Drafting presentations, briefing papers, reports, and agendas for governance meetings and other events. 
  • Assisting with stakeholder research, such as surveys, polls, and focus groups, and conducting analysis of results to support the successful delivery of actions within the CAS action plan. 
  • Facilitating timely and appropriate responses to stakeholder enquiries, including FOIs and climate-related reporting frameworks. 
  • Assisting in planning, coordinating, and executing stakeholder engagement events to effectively communicate and promote the CAS. 

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about climate action and has the following qualifications and skills: 

  • Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in communications, marketing, climate science, or a relevant subject, or possess an equivalent level of skills, knowledge, and experience. 
  • Excellent IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), survey tools, communication tools, social media platforms, and video conferencing (MS Teams). 
  • Proven track record of delivering successful stakeholder engagement activities and projects. 
  • Experience in conducting stakeholder research, including surveys, polls, and focus groups, and analysing the results. 
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. 
  • Understanding of climate action, with the ability to communicate key concepts to stakeholders. 

Compensation

£42,750 - £47,620 per annum inclusive of all allowances.
