The Internship:

Our remote climate communications internship offers young people (18-35) a space to share their ideas and inspire people to make a positive impact in the climate space and to learn climate change communications experientially. Interns will:

  • Learn about creative climate communications.
  • Gain skills in marketing, communications, and event planning.
  • Develop fundraising, leadership, organizational, and entrepreneurial skills.

We're currently seeking interns for the following roles:

1. Digital Media Intern:

  • Create and manage digital content for Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, and YouTube, supporting social media campaigns.
  • Craft compelling stories and use digital trends to enhance Time for Better’s online presence and engagement.

2. Development Intern:

  • Assist with fundraising strategy, grant writing, and donor engagement for the BETTER Earth Foundation.
  • Research and develop partnerships with brands, nonprofits, and influencers aligned with our mission. 
  • Help plan campaigns to expand the reach and impact of Time for Better initiatives.

3. Operations Intern:

  • Support project management, logistics, and administrative tasks to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Assist in maintaining efficient systems for tracking project deliverables, timelines, and communications.
  • Collaborate on strategies to improve organizational processes and workflows.

Our interns are:

  • Caring about people and the planet, grounded in hope and optimism for a better future.
  • Justice-oriented, with an understanding of the intersections of the climate crisis.
  • Collaborative and a team player, self-driven and motivated, with a solid capacity to take independent initiative.
  • Excellent with organizational and time management skills, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about making an impact.

Commitment:

The internship requires no more than 10 hours per week for four months. We understand that you may have other obligations and responsibilities, and we value flexibility. We encourage your participation in team meetings whenever possible, as they provide valuable opportunities for collaboration, learning, and growth. The start date is January 15th, 2025.

Compensation:

As an intern at Time for Better, you will receive a $1,000 stipend. Specific details regarding compensation will be discussed during the onboarding process.
