Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role can be based in San Francisco, Mountain View or New York.

The Program Manager will lead and execute complex, enterprise-wide programs and projects that are highly visible to executive leadership. These initiatives—spanning strategic planning, FP&A and sourcing partnerships, budget management, talent development programs, and project management support—enable the Comms + Social Impact team to deliver transformative work that impacts millions of customers and one billion LinkedIn users worldwide.

As a core member of the central Comms + Social Impact team, you’ll bring operational excellence, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence to tackle ambiguity and complexity. Every day is different in this function, and successful candidates will thrive in environments where they can shift gears quickly, operate with humor and personal resilience, and keep counterparts across the organization focused on objectives while demonstrating agility in navigating obstacles. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive programs through executive stakeholder management and strong cross-functional relationships at all levels, using excellent relationship skills to reach alignment across teams, keep projects on track, and have fun.

  • Drive alignment across teams by facilitating efficient decision-making, navigating complex change  management processes, and defining content strategies for internal communications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on project management and strategic planning best practices, empowering teams with actionable insights and frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels, influencing without authority to ensure cross-functional alignment and successful execution of programs.
  • Proactively identify roadblocks and resource gaps, diving into the details when needed to resolve issues while maintaining a strategic perspective.

  • Willing to "get into the weeds" to help unblock issues or short-term resource constraints, while also maintaining a 30,000 ft view of the project and a focus on the objective
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills, and comfort with using influence instead of authority to drive collaboration
  • Leadership skills, ability to lead partners consistently through times of uncertainty, pressure, or frustration
  • Proactiveness and creativity, to offer solutions and new work streams that improves chances of project success.
