The Senior Director of 92NY’s Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact will be responsible for a wide range of high level programmatic, funding, operational, and cultivation initiatives to solidify the Belfer Center for Innovation and Social Impact as a leader in innovative social impact programming, community-building, and convening. In close collaboration with the Belfer Center’s Executive Director, the Senior Director will shape individual programs and overall Center strategy, lead Center operations working closely with counterparts across 92NY, secure funding, and expand the reach of the Center through major collaborations. This position will oversee new initiative launches and program operations for the Belfer Center, managing a small team of staff.

Job Responsibilities Include

• • Strategic planning and development of new Belfer Center projects, both in-person and globally. Identify, build relationships with, and effectively collaborate with the relevant external and internal partners to ensure the success of new projects.
  • In partnership with the Belfer Center’s Executive Director and 92NY’s Development team, secure funding for Belfer Center programs, with an emphasis on developing new foundation and corporate contacts to support programming, movements, and initiatives.
  • Oversee the launch of programs for the Center and 92NY generally, and ongoing program implementation and Belfer Center operations. In particular, the Senior Director will manage teams running the following programs: Women inPower, Share Our America, and a new Social Impact Accelerator launching in 2025.
  • Develop, support, and manage members of the Belfer Center core team (and consultants) and effectively utilize the Center’s team to develop and execute Center programs and initiatives.
  • Leverage social media and other technologies, as well as other innovative forms of content delivery, to amplify initiatives, attract new audiences, and build new communities seeking high-quality content across demographics and locations.
  • Coordinate closely with other staff institution-wide to further embed innovation throughout 92NY. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to structure and execute successful initiatives, develop work plans, and conduct analysis and evaluation.
  • Represent the Center at events and speaking engagements.
  • May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

• • 10+ years of relevant experience leading major programmatic, community, and / or digital initiatives (including meaningful experience in the social impact space).
  • Strong management skills, with the ability not only to conceptualize innovative ideas, but to turn those concepts into concrete programs and then to execute on those programs, measuring programmatic success against pre-determined and articulable metrics.
  • Proven capability and success in proactively pursuing high-level collaborations across corporate, non-profit, governmental, and media institutions.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills, including the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to shape internal and external messaging.
  • Demonstrable ability to secure funding for programs and to cultivate new donors and support.
  • Ability to represent the Center publicly to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Creativity, flexibility and a high-level of comfort leading internal and external teams.

Compensation Range

$125,000 - $150,000

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours/week between regular hours Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

There may be occasional activities outside of these hours and/or on weekends.

This position is currently approved to utilize a hybrid working environment, with 3+ days/week in the office, which is subject to change in the future.‍
