The Social Media & Digital Creative Coordinator will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative social media services that meet the evolving needs of Communications INC’s clients, primarily within the ocean and climate action sectors.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on creativity, ensuring all social media content is visually compelling and aligns with clients' brand identities. You will create and curate visually engaging assets, develop cohesive social media aesthetics, and support the full content production process across multiple platforms.
Additionally, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality digital outputs and contribute to broader digital projects, including website development, SEO optimisation, and digital advertising.The role holder works closely with their Delivery team colleagues and Account Managers to create materials that advance a portfolio of clients, projects and campaigns’ communications efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Assist with designing and implementing social media packages that meet client objectives, ensuring brand consistency across platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok and YouTube.
- Manage and execute paid social media campaigns, track performance, and compile detailed reports.
- Analyse data to make data-driven recommendations for optimising social media strategies and improving overall performance.
Design & Creative
- Shape and maintain a cohesive visual identity across platforms by integrating innovative design and copy.
- Provide creative input to ensure content is visually engaging and aligned with client and campaign goals across digital deliverables such as videos, graphics, and social media assets.
- Design creative and engaging social media assets with a focus on typography, layout, and visual storytelling using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Translate design concepts into user-friendly Canva templates for ongoing content creation, ensuring brand consistency and accessibility for clients' internal teams.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to offer creative guidance and feedback to external vendors, designers, and media suppliers, ensuring that content meets creative standards and aligns with client branding.
Social Media & Digital Production
- Contribute to the end-to-end process of creating digital and social media assets, such as videos, graphics, and other digital media.
- Oversee the creation of social media content, ensuring all posts are supported by visually strong assets that follow brand guidelines.
- Lead basic social media video production tasks, such as shooting and editing video interviews at events, adding subtitles, and creating dynamic content for platforms using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Work with the Production Manager and Delivery Director to source high-quality images for digital campaigns, adhering to copyright and licensing regulations, and maintain a central database of licensed images.
- Develop and maintain organised systems for social media and digital content production, ensuring efficient workflows and timely delivery.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work with the Delivery Team to curate content, manage social media schedules, and ensure all digital outputs meet project timelines, while collaborating effectively to align with client goals.
- Oversee the quality control process before content is shared with clients for sign-off. This includes managing the approval process, proofreading digital content (social media, websites, toolkits) and production materials (reports, factsheets), and ensuring that client feedback is integrated seamlessly.
- Contribute to Communications INC’s Monitoring & Evaluation process by preparing detailed performance reports on social media metrics for clients and the Senior Management Team.
Person Specification
Essential requirements
- 3+ years of experience in social media content creation (X, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, YouTube) with a focus on visuals.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Basic video production skills (lighting, camera setup, editing).
- Strong graphic design abilities with attention to detail in layouts and visual storytelling.
- Experience with paid social media campaigns, including optimisation and performance reporting.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com for managing tasks and collaboration.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of WordPress and SEO/SEM best practices.
- Experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social preferred).
- Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing environments.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or within a small virtual team.
- Interest in environmental issues, with a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Familiarity with Generative AI (e.g., AI-powered content creation tools), especially for exploring new ways to enhance creativity, streamline content production, and experiment with innovative social media formats.
