Win of the Week:
Honda just made the largest auto investment in Canada’s history when it committed $15 billion to build a new EV factory in Ontario. The factory is estimated to create at least 1000 new jobs in EV and EV battery manufacturing, in addition to around 4,000 new construction jobs.
Bummer of the Week:
Fayette Janitorial Services has been fined $649,000 after a Department of Labor investigation discovered that the company employed 24 minors to clean a dangerous slaughterhouse. The jobs consisted of overnight shifts at two separate facilities, and some of the workers were only 13 years old.
