About the Giddy Group
Hi! We're the Giddy Group, a social media agency for environmental organizations, sustainable businesses, and outdoor brands. We've been hired by an incredible organization to run their social channels in 2025, and we're seeking talent to help build their social media community and reach gen-z and millennial audiences. The selected applicant will work on The Giddy Group team.
Organization Overview
The selected applicant will be building a social media community for an organization that is dedicated to conserving forestland, advancing Exemplary Forestry, and promoting sustainable forest management to benefit the people, wildlife, and ecosystems of New England.
Through innovative practices and strategic partnerships, this organization safeguards forests for future generations while addressing climate change and fostering public engagement. The organization manages its own lands as demonstration sites, educates landowners, and advocates for policies that protect forest resources.
With a commitment to collaboration, diversity, and integrity, the organization strives to maximize its impact across the region and achieve lasting conservation solutions.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate is passionate about climate action, forestry, and land conservation - and you practically live on social. You know how to use social media and each platform's capabilities to build and engage online community to reach audiences on Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube and Tikok.
Important notes:
If you do not have experience in forestry, climate science, or land conservation, we kindly request that you refrain from applying.
We will be hiring a social media manager for this role. If you feel that you fit the role of both a social media manager and community manager, please say so in the additional comments in the application form. The social media manager position will be posted in December.
