The Programmes & Engagement Coordinator Role will lead initiatives that elevate student voices, facilitate meaningful engagement, and build pathways for young leaders to drive responsible management and sustainability. This role combines creativity, organizational prowess, and collaboration to design impactful programs that inspire and connect students worldwide.
Position Summary
In close collaboration with the Programmes and Engagement team, the Coordinator will support design and implementation of global programs that strengthen student engagement across all of PRME’s initiatives, especially PRME Global Students, and the broader UN Global Compact. Acting as a bridge between PRME and student communities, this role will create opportunities for collaboration, amplify student voices, and foster a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
This role will help position PRME as a leader in sustainable education by scaling initiatives and strengthening global student and early career programs and expanding PRME’s capacity to inspire and empower future leaders.
This role demands a dynamic individual who is creative, highly organized, and deeply committed to empowering students for global impact. The Coordinator will also work closely with the Senior Manager of Development to attract, define, and deliver upon major grants related to student and early-career opportunities. The ability to scale initiatives across local, regional, national, and international levels will be critical to addressing the evolving needs of the PRME community and advancing the wider agenda of sustainable development.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Students, Youth, and Early Career Engagement:
○ Coordinate the PRME Global Students to amplify student voices from the PRME community. Act as a focal point for PRME’s student engagement efforts, maintaining relationships with youth networks, student organizations, and higher education institutions.
○ Coordinate with PRME Chapters, Champions, and Working Groups to ensure student participation and leadership opportunities.
○ Collaborate with the PRME Communications Team to develop communications and resources which promote student-focused initiatives, leveraging PRME platforms and social media that are accessible and engaging including toolkits, guides, and multimedia materials.
○ Provide logistical and administrative support for PRME student-related events, campaigns, and collaborations by helping to organize virtual and hybrid convenings to connect global student populations with PRME initiatives.
○ Support the work of the Senior Manager of Development in securing funding for student and student focused initiatives.
● Monitoring, Evaluation, and UN Global Compact Connection:
○ In collaboration with the PRME Programmes & Engagement leadership team, monitor program progress, collect feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.
○ Develop metrics to measure the impact of student engagement initiatives and report results to internal and external stakeholders.
○ Inform UN Global Compact on skills development, student engagement, future business leader trends.

Educational and Experience Requirements
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Education, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
● Work Experience:
○ 2-5 years of relevant experience working with global student populations, student networks, youth advocacy, or early-career programs.
○ Demonstrated success in coordinating projects, coordinating large groups, and delivering results.
○ Experience in grant writing or managing grant-funded programs is a strong asset. ○ Experience in volunteer management is a plus.
● Skills:
○ Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities.
○ Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse student audiences.
○ Familiarity with digital engagement tools, social media platforms, and content creation software.
○ Cultural competence and a global mindset.
○ Fluency in English (required); additional language skills are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary Range - $56,000 - $65,000
• Retirement Plan – 15% employer contribution after 12 months of services with additional 7.5% matching option.
• Vacation Days - 30 paid days (6 weeks) per year.
